1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Pyre Fitness, operated by Pyre Fitness LLC ("Pyre Fitness," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the Pyre Fitness mobile application and related services (the "App").
By downloading, creating an account, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Pyre Fitness.
2. Eligibility & age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use Pyre Fitness. Pyre Fitness does not permit accounts for anyone under 13, even with parent or guardian consent.
If you are 13–17, you may use the App only with the permission and involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Pyre does not independently contact, authenticate, or verify the parent or legal guardian through signup.
You must provide an accurate date of birth during signup. Pyre uses the self-declared date of birth to derive an age band and apply age-based features. Pyre does not currently request or store an Apple or Google platform age-range signal. A future version may use a platform-provided age range or eligibility signal where required or made available by law, an app store, or an operating-system platform, and may apply the more protective experience when signals differ. We will update the Privacy Policy if that changes the information we collect or how we use it. You may not provide a false age or try to evade an age-based restriction.
In version 2.0, social interaction is separated into ages 13–17 and adults 18 and older. Social features remain subject to friendship, blocking, participation, and other audience controls. Automated weight-change planning remains restricted to adults 18 and older. Other features are subject to their settings, permissions, and these Terms.
3. Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@pyrefitness.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
You may not share, sell, or transfer your account, and you may not create an account using false information or on behalf of someone else without permission. Your date of birth and age information must be accurate. Account eligibility markers are not a statement that Apple or Google independently verified your age.
4. Medical disclaimer & assumption of risk
Pyre Fitness is not medical advice. The App provides general fitness, exercise, and nutrition information and gamified tools. It is not a medical service and does not provide medical, nutritional, diagnostic, or professional health advice. Content in the App — including workouts, run missions, coach notes, calorie and macro targets, and AI suggestions — is for general informational purposes only.
Consult a physician first. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional before starting any exercise or nutrition program, particularly if you are pregnant, recovering from injury or surgery, or have any heart, metabolic, or other medical condition.
Assumption of risk. Physical exercise and running carry inherent risks, including the risk of serious injury. You acknowledge and voluntarily accept these risks. You agree to exercise within your own ability, use proper form and equipment, stay aware of your surroundings during runs, and stop immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any other warning sign. You use Pyre Fitness, and train, entirely at your own risk. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
5. Subscriptions, billing & auto-renewal
Access to some or all of Pyre Fitness may require Pyre Pro, an auto-renewable paid subscription. Any free, trial, or promotional access is available only when it is expressly shown in the App or the applicable app-store purchase flow. The following terms apply to subscriptions:
- Billing through app stores. Subscriptions are purchased and billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew for the same period and then-current price unless you cancel through the applicable store before the next renewal. The store purchase flow and subscription settings show the renewal date and applicable cancellation terms.
- Managing & cancelling. You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting your Pyre Fitness account does not cancel a store subscription — you must cancel it through Apple or Google.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies. We generally cannot issue refunds directly for store purchases. If your account is terminated for violating these Terms or our Privacy Policy, you are not entitled to any refund or credit of unused subscription time.
- Price changes. We may change subscription pricing; changes apply to future billing periods and will be communicated as required by the app stores and applicable law.
6. Acceptable use
Pyre Fitness includes social features — allies, squads, feeds, stories, comments, challenges, and leaderboards — subject to age-group and audience controls. When using any interactive feature available to your account, you agree not to:
- Harass, bully, threaten, impersonate, or abuse other users.
- Create, upload, share, solicit, or facilitate child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualization or trafficking of minors, or any other content or conduct that exploits or endangers a child.
- Post content that is hateful, graphically violent, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate.
- Promote dangerous, extreme, or disordered approaches to exercise, eating, or weight loss.
- Post spam, scams, advertising, or misleading information.
- Cheat, falsify activity or stats, or manipulate quests, streaks, leaderboards, or challenges.
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the App or its infrastructure.
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
Users can report objectionable content and block abusive users directly in the App from a post, comment, or profile. Reports enter our safety queue for review, with urgent safety issues prioritized. We may remove violating content and suspend or eject offending accounts.
Social interaction is separated into ages 13–17 and adults 18 and older. Social and community features remain subject to moderation and the audience controls described in our Privacy Policy. Amazon Bedrock Guardrails and Amazon Rekognition process proposed usernames, social text, profile and social images, GIF frames and image-extracted text for safety review.
7. User content & license
You retain ownership of the photos, text, GIFs, and other content you post through a social or community feature ("Posted User Content"). This includes summaries and optional photos you choose to publish with Post to Squad, plus the activity summaries published when you record challenge workout-day or lift-completion results, comments, and other challenge or squad activity.
By posting Posted User Content, you grant Pyre Fitness a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the App and its features. This license ends when you delete the Posted User Content or your account, except for content others have re-shared and copies retained in routine backups for the period described in our Privacy Policy.
Private fitness, health, location, and nutrition records are not Posted User Content under this license and are not licensed for public display or distribution. In version 2.0, completing an ordinary workout or run saves it privately; choosing Post to Squad publishes the selected summary and optional photos. Challenge workout-day and lift-completion flows also publish a summary when you record those challenge results. Pyre processes private records and published content as described in the Privacy Policy.
You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to the Posted User Content you submit and that it does not violate these Terms or any law. You are solely responsible for your Posted User Content.
8. AI assistant disclaimer
Pyre Fitness uses generative artificial intelligence for meal scanning, training programs and workout coaching, trail and trial lore, area briefs, and trail insights, and boss-raid narratives. Text prompts, meal images, relevant fitness-profile inputs, and workout or trail context may be processed by Amazon Web Services (AWS), using Amazon Nova models through Amazon Bedrock. AWS also provides safety checks associated with those features and community-trail photos. Social moderation uses the AWS services described in our Privacy Policy.
AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Macro and calorie estimates from meal scans are approximations, and AI responses are general information — not medical, nutritional, or professional advice.
Always use your own judgment, verify important information, and consult a qualified professional before acting on AI-generated content. You can report any displayed AI result directly in the App; the selected reason and a bounded excerpt of that generated result enter our safety queue for review. You agree not to attempt to manipulate the AI into generating illegal, harmful, or sexually explicit content. Pyre Fitness is not responsible for decisions you make based on AI features.
9. Intellectual property
The App and all of its content that is not User Content — including the Pyre Fitness name, logo, artwork, banners, titles, campaign stories, software, and design — are owned by Pyre Fitness or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the App except as expressly permitted.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (see our Account Deletion page). We may suspend or terminate your access — including a permanent ban — if you violate these Terms or our Privacy Policy, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the App. Accounts terminated for a violation are not eligible for a refund or credit of unused subscription time (see Section 5), and a store subscription is not automatically cancelled — you must cancel it through your Apple App Store or Google Play account to stop future charges. If you believe a suspension was made in error, you may appeal by emailing support@pyrefitness.com. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and intellectual-property terms — will continue to apply.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that data, maps, trails, stats, or AI output will be accurate or complete. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you use the App at your own risk.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pyre Fitness and its operators, officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or for any personal injury arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50.
- Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pyre Fitness LLC from any claims, damages, or legal fees arising from your use of the App, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, without regard to its conflict of law principles. The Service is provided by Pyre Fitness LLC. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding, individual arbitration. YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and revision above. Where applicable law requires separate consent, we will request it. Your continued use of Pyre Fitness after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
